Our promise

What we actually promise — and what we don't

Hiring someone who works inside your home is a big decision, so we want to be straight with you about what househelp is. No inflated claims — just a clear picture of how we help and where your own judgment matters.

What we promise
  • We connect you with real people who are looking for household work and willing to work.
  • Everyone we list already knows the basics of their role — cooking, cleaning, childcare, driving, elder-care.
  • We arrange a video interview so you can meet and assess them yourself before deciding.
  • Your phone number and address stay private until you choose to hire.
  • Meetings are free. You only pay a one-time facilitation fee when you actually hire.
  • Optional add-ons (like police verification) are available if you want extra checks — clearly priced, never hidden.
What we don't promise
  • We do not guarantee that any worker is the "best" or a perfect fit — that's what your interview is for.
  • Unless you buy a verification add-on, we have not run a police or background check on a helper.
  • We are not the employer. When you hire, the working arrangement is between you and the helper directly.
  • We don't set or pay salaries — you pay the helper directly, at terms you both agree.
  • We can't promise a helper will accept your offer, stay forever, or never have an off day.

Why we work this way

Plenty of services claim every worker is "verified" and "guaranteed." We think that's misleading — no platform can promise how a person will behave in your home. What we can do honestly is give you access to people genuinely looking for work, a private and structured way to interview them, and optional real checks when you want them. The decision stays yours, made with your own eyes and questions.

You stay in control at every step, and we tell you plainly what each stage costs. If anything on the site ever reads as an over-promise, tell us — that's a bug we want to fix.
