What to expect when you meet a helper
A quick read so your interview goes well and everyone knows what to expect. Meetings are free, private, and entirely in your hands.
How the meeting works
1We arrange it for youAfter you request an interview, our team confirms a time with both sides and emails you a secure video-meeting link. There is nothing to install and no numbers are exchanged — you don't get the helper's number and they don't get yours.
2You lead the interviewThe meeting is yours. Ask whatever matters to your household. A coordinator can join to translate between languages if you'd like — that's free.
3Take your time to decideYou're never rushed and never charged to meet. Interview two or three people if you want to compare before deciding.
4Make an offer if it's a fitIf you want to hire, you make an offer through the site. Only then does the one-time facilitation fee apply. Salary is paid by you directly to the helper.
How to prepare
- Be ready 5 minutes early and somewhere with a stable connection.
- Write down your must-haves: timings, days off, exact tasks, expected salary range.
- Ask about real situations — a normal day at their last home, festival leave, what they don't do.
- Be honest about your household so both sides know what they're agreeing to.
What we expect from you
- Treat the helper with respect — they're a professional deciding about you too.
- Don't ask to move the conversation off the platform before you hire; it removes everyone's protections.
- Agree salary and duties clearly and pay wages directly and on time once hired.
- Tell us if anything feels off — we'd rather hear it early.
